Spicy Pomodoro Sauce with Pepita Basil Pesto

The recipe for this sauce was derived from one of our original sauces -- Salsa D’Inverno (Winter Tomato Sauce). Using the original recipe as a base, Pappardelle's own Chef Alison added a dash of red pepper flakes and a few other spicy accoutrements to give this sauce a nicely balanced spicy bite. We’ve also tossed in a dollop of our Nutless Pepita Pesto, which rounds out the flavor and makes for an eye pleasing surprise when you pop the top.
